Nurse

Valerie Durrence, RN, BSN

Mrs. Valerie Durrence is the nurse at South Tattnall Elementary School, formerly Glennville Elementary School. As the healthcare provider for the campus, Nurse Durrence diligently works with staff and the parents to ensure the students received the best medical care available during school hours. Through these partnerships, Nurse Durrence has built a positive and supportive environment that allows the students to feel comfortable and confident in the care received from their school nurse. Her love of caring for others started over 40 years ago after obtaining her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Georgia Southern University in 1983. She has experience as staff nurse in Labor and Delivery, Manage of CareOne Home Care Services, Director of Nursing at Glenvue Health and Rehab, Lead Nurse at the Women's Probation Detention Center and Staff Nurse at Claxton Regional Youth Detention Center. As always, our goal is to make the best, BETTER!
